ActionScript Developer

We have an exciting opportunity for an Actionscript Game Developer to join our Los Angeles, CA engineering team. This position will consist mostly of developing individual games and game platforms for our restaurants. You will be helping design our next-generation game lobby and group gaming systems as well as upgrading our current suite of games.

We are looking for someone with strong experience as a game developer with a keen understanding of object-oriented code, and proficiency in Actionscript 3 is key. Working well in a small group is essential, as is being able to contribute to group game design discussions. A strong understanding of casual games is also a plus.

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal person will be a quick learner who can easily grow his/her skill set to match the working environment. You will be working out of our Van Nuys office.

Requirements:

  • • Strong Experience in programming Actionscript 3.0
  • • Experience with:
  • • Event-Driven Programming
  • • Game Design
  • • Using messaging solution, such as Flash Communications Server or XMLBlaster
  • • Flash Animation is a plus
  • • Understanding of Design Patterns and Object Oriented Development
  • • Ability to work with complex structural concepts
  • • Meticulous attention to detail when working with designers on motion graphics, video, and sound assets
  • • Goal oriented and pragmatic
